The Daybreak Shelter of Joliet has served the Joliet community for many years providing emergency housing and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless. In response to Jesus’ call in Matthew 25 to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless, Minooka United Methodist Church in conjunction with several area churches have donated and prepared evening meals or breakfasts each month for many years. This wonderful ministry leads a team of 6-8 people in donating their time and talents to allow the Catholic Charities to continue to provide a multitude of services to the community. Currently the shelter is serving around 65-70 participants daily. Contact Chris White for more information.
